I can only speak for myself, but my taste tends to go with the temperatures. I don't like ice cream in a snow storm and I don't like fiery-hot foods when it is 100 degrees outside. That being said, now is a good time for hearty soups, creamy chowders, barbecue and roast beef. Yellowfin tuna and king mackerel are caught off the Outer Banks this month, so don't miss ordering them when they're available on the menu. The tuna is top of the line and is often served raw as sushi. Both the mackerel and tuna are served as steaks, broiled, seared or grilled. Although quite different, both fish are a treat to the palate.
